Note that in Ontario only 5 daycare children are permitted to be in each daycare home at any time. Only 3 children may be under the age of 2. The providers own children under age 4 must be counted into the ratios.

Qualifications of Provider:
Bachelor of Education (elementary) from Queens University, Kingston, Ontario. Some ECE courses completed. Raised four children including a child with special needs.
Learning Program:
Each child is provided with the play and learning materials required to reach their full potential. Emphasis is on skills development: fine motor, gross motor, lifeskills, social skills, academic skills (letters, colours, numbers, shapes, themes from the world around us) Books and stories play an important role in my daycare. The feltboard and pocketchart is used as an integral part of our learning. I have created many of the teaching resources used. I try to maintain a flexible schedule so each child's need for sleep, food, comfort, learning style can be accomodated. I do not take school age children so our days are not confined to timings for bus runs.
